Bolivia estimates the impact of the Dakar in 140 million dollars

Speaking to EFE, Alanoca Mamani explained that this is due "to the mobilization" that a competition like the Dakar generates in the inhabitants, tourism operators and the media.

"The Dakar has a burden of tourism revolution, which is what we are interested in promoting", explained the Minister.

This 40th edition of the Dakar, which will be held between January 6 and 20, 2018 with steps through Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, is also the tenth that takes place in the territory South American, to which the race was moved by the danger of North Africa.

Alanoca Mamani recalled that it is the fifth time that Bolivia receives this legendary competition and revealed that his country will propose next year a longer stay in its territory, where the test will be in 2018 between January 11 and 15, dates that include the rest day of the day 12.
