London, Nov 16 (EFE) .- Queen Elizabeth II of England visited the wind turbine blade factory of Siemens Gamesa in Hull today, as part of a tour of this northern city English, which is the capital of the culture of 2017 in the United Kingdom.

In the plant that has visited, located in the port of Alexandra, shovels of 75 meters in length are manufactured for parks offshore wind turbines or marine wind turbines, the Spanish company said in a statement.

After arriving at the factory, the queen traveled the 75 meters measured by the shovel that in its day it was exhibited as an artistic installation in the Plaza Reina Victoria, in the center of the city, as part of the celebrations for the cultural capital of Hull, it is explained in the note.

Isabel II toured the plant where these huge-sized shovels are built, accompanied by Siemens Gamesa's CEO, Markus Tacke, the general manager for the United Kingdom, Clark MacFarlane, as well as by the CEO of the Siemens group, Joe Kaeser, and its president in the country, Juergen Maier.
